Meet Ann Boden

Ann is an Indianapolis native completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a focus in child and adolescent development at Purdue University. She completed her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling with a dual concentration in family counseling and substance abuse at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN.  Ann is also a certified Prime for Life Instructor through the Prevention Research Institute.

Clinical Experience
Ann is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and has been providing individual, family, and group counseling services to adolescents, adults, and families for 4 years. She has experience providing therapy in public, private, and natural settings. Ann is skilled in developing connections with individuals and breaking through resistance in group as well as individual sessions.

Ann has worked in residential treatment centers and community mental health centers. These experiences have helped her develop her skills and expand her understanding of individual and family needs. She understands the importance of connecting early and engaging an individual in the therapeutic process through building that relationship.

Therapeutic Approach
Ann believes that “true change” comes through establishing relationships and building trust; once that foundation is set, individuals are able to take action and meet their goals.

Ann strives to provide evidence based therapeutic services to assist families and individuals in meeting their treatment goals. She is passionate about the work that she does and utilizes a variety of therapeutic interventions based on the needs of the individual.  Ann uses a “solution-focused, positive, and non-judgmental” approach to overcoming challenges and addressing needs. She provides a welcoming and interactive environment that promotes comfort and relaxation for both adolescents and adults. She incorporates your environment and surroundings into the progression of treatment as much as possible to provide an experiential aspect to the process.

Ann is a member of the American Counseling Association and strives to stay up to date on research in the field. She values growth and professional challenges through continuing education trainings and workshops.
