Cat Hoggard Wagley

Cat Hoggard Wagley completed her undergraduate degrees in Interpersonal Communication and Education from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She then completed her Master’s degree in Counseling at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Clinical Experience
Cat is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) and has experience providing Individual therapy and group therapy. She has worked with teens and adults. She is skilled in working with individuals with diverse backgrounds.

Therapeutic Approach
Cat’s approach to therapy is person-centered with a multicultural perspective. She enjoys working with Individuals and couples.

Her practice is rooted in humanistic and psychodynamic theory with a focus on the impact of past and present interpersonal relationships on our thoughts, feelings and actions. She integrates somatic awareness, mindfulness, and socio-cultural understanding. Therapy should be as unique as the person seeking treatment, and Cat recognizes that the modality used should be specific to the situation. Cat mainly utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy where appropriate.
